Is your data really only on your device? Check it in 30 seconds

No need to trust what we say. Go offline and try it yourself.

People ask us: “If I type my trip in here, could it be stolen?”

It’s a fair question. There are plenty of phishing sites out there, and being careful is a good habit.

Our answer has always been the same: your trip lives only in your own browser, and our servers have nowhere to receive it. But “we say so” isn’t worth much, so here’s a small experiment anyone can finish in thirty seconds.

The experiment: edit, save and reopen with no network

  1. While you’re still online, load a template. Pick any one from Itinerary templates and tap “Use this template”. This is the only step that touches the network, and all it does is read a public template file down to your device. Nothing is sent from you.
  2. Cut the network. Turn on airplane mode on your phone, or switch off Wi-Fi / unplug the cable on a computer. The green note at the top of the planner turns yellow and says you’re offline.
  3. Edit freely. Rename the trip, add a stop, delete a card, drag things around. Everything keeps working — no spinner, no “please reconnect”.
  4. There’s no “upload” to press. The site has no “save to cloud” button because there is no cloud. Every change is written straight into this browser’s local storage.
  5. Close the tab and reopen the planner (still offline). Your edited trip is right where you left it. That’s the proof: it lives on your device, not on our side.
💡 Heads-up
If reopening shows an “offline” notice page, this browser hasn’t cached the planner yet. Open the trip planner once while online, then go offline and it will reopen fine.

Once you’re done you can reconnect. Your trip is still only in your hands, and we still can’t see it.
